Religion is a big part of Crusader Kings 2, and if you like to use console commands, you'll be glad to hear that there are many ways to modify the religion of characters, provinces and kingdoms with them! This guide will show you how to do the following:
Nestorianism is a Christological doctrine advanced by Nestorius, Patriarch of Constantinople from 428–431. The doctrine, which is informed by Nestorius' studies under Theodore of Mopsuestia at the School of Antioch, emphasizes the disunion between the human and divine natures of Jesus. Nestorius' teachings brought him into conflict with some other prominent church leaders, most notably Cyril. Reduce moral authority of the religion you want counties to convert from. Increase your learning and Stewardship. Increase learning of your lord spiritual. Increase moral authority of religion youre trying to convert to. Make it so that all rulers holding counties are of the religion you want and that all rulers hold only 1 County. Religion 295 norsepaganreformed. The religion ID for Norse is norsepaganreformed - this command would make the religion of character with ID 295 Norse. Religion totemism. The Totemist religion has the religion ID 'totemism'. As no character ID is specified here, this command would change the religion of your own character to Totemism.
How to Change the Religion of a Province
Sep 02, 2020 This being a portrait of medieval Europe, Crusader Kings 3 has a lot to say about Religion.Medieval life was full of controversy and power struggles between the faiths and you'll regularly see rulers and counties embrace the newest must-have heresy.
The religion of a province can be changed very easily (no need for events), with the province_religion [Province ID] [Religion ID] command. You'll need two things to use this command:
- The province ID of the province you wish to change the religion of, to put in the place of [Province ID]. You can find this on our province ID list.
- The religion ID of the religion you wish to change the province's to, to put in the place of [Religion ID]. You can find this on our religion ID list.
For an example, we'll use the religion ID for Catholicism, which is catholic and the province ID for Paris, which is 112. Knowing those are the two IDs we need, the command to change the religion of Paris (France) to Catholicism would be:
province_religion 112 catholic

How to Change the Religion of a Character
The religion of a character in Crusader Kings 2 can, like the religion of a province, also be changed very easily. Changing the religion of a character is done with the religion [Character ID] [Religion ID] command. To use this command, you must:
- Replace [Religion ID] with the ID of the religion to wish to change the character's to. See our religion IDs page for a list of these.
- If you're changing the religion of a character that isn't you (i.e. another character's religion), you'll need to replace [Character ID] with the ID of the character you wish to change the religion of. See how to find character IDs for help.
For example, the religion ID for Orthodox is orthodox. To change the religion of your own character to Orthodox, you'd simply replace [Religion ID] with orthodox and omit the [Character ID] part. So, the below command would change your character's religion to Orthodox:
Ck2 How To Change My Religion
religion orthodox
To change the religion of a character that isn't yours to Orthodox, all you'd need to do is add the character ID of the character to the above command. Changing the religion of a character with character ID 4985 to Orthodox could be done with this command:
religion 4985 orthodox
